Chica Seal (b.1991) is a British painter. She recieved her BA in Painting at Brighton University (2015) after completing an art foundation at Falmouth University (2011). Her work has been exhibited internationally including Alice Black Gallery (London) & Annika Nuttall Gallery (Denmark) amongst others. Chica draws on the female perspective from mythology, medieval folklore, storytelling and popular culture to present a commentary of the turbulence of the human psyche, replete with extended metaphors and veiled meanings which are intentionally ambiguous.
